6.2. Extensions and Standard REXX

In standard REXX, the OPTIONS instruction provides a “hook” for
extensions. It takes any type of parameters, and interprets them
in a system-dependent manner.

The format and legal values of the parameters for the OPTIONS
instruction is clearly implementation dependent [TRL2, p62].
